Alliance Expands Smash Melee Team
Gothenburg, Sweden - October 5th, 2016 - Alliance, a world-leading esport team, is glad to introduce the addition of Andreas “Android” Lindgren to Alliance’s Super Smash Bros. Melee team. Android will be joining his older brother Adam “Armada” Lindgren in Alliance - truly becoming the “Smash Brothers.”

The two brothers grew up together in a big family outside of Gothenburg, and spent a majority of their free time playing Smash. Now, Adam and Andreas has turned their passion into a profession. For the first time, both Armada and Android will compete under the same banner, representing Alliance in tournaments around the world. Together they’ll travel to events and support each other, as they compete individually as well as competing as a team in Doubles.

Dominating both Singles and Doubles, Adam is a unique player in the North American dominated Smash scene as he’s the only non-US player earning the status as one of the “Five Gods”. While he’s had a tremendous success he’s always wished to have somebody to share the joy of competing with. With Andreas joining Alliance Adam will finally have a travel companion to compete with.

Andreas is Adam’s younger brother and one of the shining stars in the European Smash scene and a force to be reckoned with on his signature character Sheik. Together with the support from Adam and Alliance, he aims to become one of the top players in Smash and dominate the doubles brackets together with his brother.
I’m more than happy to announce that I’m joining Alliance and being able to play on the same team as my brother, Armada, does.

I’m certain that I will have a really good time with Alliance. This is a dream come true and there’s a bright future ahead for all of us.
Extremely happy to have Android join me in Alliance, I’ve looked forward to this for a long time.

This will give Android and I more chances to play as a team in tournaments and also give Android further worldwide experience as a singles player. I’m really looking forward to be a part of Android’s journey and see him grow as a player!
Erik Barge,
General Manager
Smash is a fantastic scene with an amazing community and I’m very excited to be further invested in it with welcoming Andreas to the Alliance family. He’s a very promising up-and-coming Smasher and I’m very excited to see him grow as a player going forward. Together, Adam and Andreas, will literally be Alliance’s “Smash Brothers” and we’re all excited to see them compete together in doubles as well as individually.
