Assembling the future: Alliance’s New Dota 2 Roster is here!

November 18 2021

The time has finally come to introduce Alliance’s updated and exciting DOTA2 Roster!

As most of you already know, Alliance has been in the middle of a roster change for the last couple of weeks. Now, we are proud and excited to reveal the new DOTA 2 team. The future is bright – and Alliance green.

Without further ado, let’s present the new players:
Starting off with the unstoppable offlaner Rodrigo “Leslão” Santos from Brazil and the United States. “Leslão” have previously played for teams suchs as “Ninjas In Pyjamas” and most recently “Quincy Crew”. Having achievements under his belt such as placing first in the last North American DPC season makes all of us very excited to see what the future with the Alliance will bring.

Moving on to the mid-lane, we have none other than Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha from the Czech Republic. “Supream^” is transferring straight from “Chicken Fighters” and will bring a very aggressive playstyle to our mid lane this season. “Supream^” ended the season on a hot streak in the Western Europe qualifiers for TI10 taking down everyone who opposed him in his lane, ending their underdog run with an average KDA of an impressive 6.77.

Finally finishing off the squad with our second support, Adam “Aramis” Moroz from Israel. “Aramis” most recently played for “Vikin.gg”. “Aramis” showed last season that he was the absolute best in his role in division 2. Previously he has been a part of winning the EPIC League Season 3 Division 1 among plenty of other victories, and we are sure there will be more victories to come.

We would also like to give a great big welcome to the squads new coach Niklas “okcya” Koskinen from Finland. “Okcya” most previously coached “Supream^´s” previous team “Chicken Fighters”. With 3 years of coaching experience, with a plethora of different teams we know that “okcya” is exactly what the team needs to exceed all expectations.

The three new players will then be the new Alliance together with our two tried and trusted remaining players “Handsken” and “Nikobaby”.
Simon “Handsken” Haag from Sweden has been with Alliance since October 2019 and will with his experience and expertise as a support keep pushing the team to reach new heights. We are also proud to announce that from today “Handsken” will also take on the great responsibility of being the captain for this new team.
Under the same period Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov from Bulgaria has been playing alongside “Handsken”. Being the team’s carry and maining characters like Faceless Void and Juggernaut, “Nikobaby” will for sure put on a show this upcoming season. Together with “Handsken”, they’ll form a powerful foundation for the team.
Side by side, they will lead the team as we did with some of our most successful roster – a strong and steady in-game leader (Handsken) – and a spiritual leader outside of the game (Nikobaby) – we see them as the new Loda and Akke of the organisation.

“Loda” expressed his opinion on upcoming season:

“For the coming season we decided that we want to rebuild things from the bottom up. We’ve kept a core to build upon but overall we’ve wanted to create something fresh and new. Handsken who has a history of being position 5 and drafter has now returned to the position. Not because he is forced to do so, but because it’s a natural step. Throughout the year him and Niko have played an incredible amount of games together and they have become not only a natural duo within the game, but they are also a driving force within the team.

I’m excited to see them lead our Dota2 team together and I’m confident that coupled with the two younger players in Aramis and SupreaM^ who both had a good showing in the last season, as well as Leslão who brings consistency and experience from other regions they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Europe is an incredible region with amazing teams, and we know that only hard work can bring us to the top of that pack. That work begins now. A big thank you to all our fans, sponsors, and partners for your continued support.

One for ALL, ALL for one.”

“Handsken” had the following to say regarding the new roster:
“I’m excited to be part of this young and fresh Alliance roster. We are working hard to keep improving [A]’s Dota. I hope everyone is as excited as I am moving into this new season with me and Niko at the helm. Welcome Leslão, Supream, Aramis and okcya!”

Last but not least, Alliance are also excited to welcome Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg as an official substitute. A god gamer with a wealth of experience, ready to dust off his jersey should we need him!
