GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN, 15th February 2026 — Today, with a heavy heart, Alliance announces the departure of Miron “Effect” Novikov from our Apex Legends division. As Effect prepares to embark on the next chapter of his competitive career, we look back on a tenure defined by explosive mechanical skill, multiple MVP wins and an era-defining rise to the top of the EMEA region.
Effect’s journey with Alliance began as a “scout’s dream” in late 2022. Having achieved the unprecedented feat of securing the Rank 1 Predator spot for four consecutive seasons, he caught the attention of Alliance captain Hakis. On Hakis’ personal recommendation and belief in his raw mechanical ceiling, Effect was signed, transitioning from a pub demon to a global professional icon.
During his time of over three years with us, Effect was a cornerstone of the most successful era in Alliance Apex history. Together, the roster achieved:
- Three consecutive Pro League titles during the 2024/25 seasons.
- The 2024 Esports World Cup (EWC) Championship, where the team emerged victorious after a grueling, record-breaking 13-game series to become World Champions.
- Top 3 at multiple ALGS LANs
Following recent international results that fell short of the team’s high standards, Alliance and Effect held transparent discussions regarding the future. It was mutually decided that a change was necessary for the growth of both the player and the organization. We are pleased to confirm that a transfer agreement has been reached with Aurora, where Effect will continue his professional journey.
