In collaboration with Tele2, we are excited to present “Tele2 Alliance Academy”. An initiative aimed at discovering young Swedish talents in Counter-Strike 2 through a selection process with the help of Esportal. The selected team will represent Tele2 Alliance Academy under a 6-month contract. During these months, they will receive coaching from Hawk (Head Coach of Alliance), training sessions with the main Alliance team, bootcamps at Alliance HQ, and much more. The team will participate in as many competitions as possible to build a strong foundation and then attend DreamHack together, one of the world’s largest LAN events. The goal is for academy players to get a springboard into professional life, gain visibility, and improve in CS2.
Academy Structure
- July 18th: Registrations are now open at Esportal.com/tele2alliance.
- August 1st, 13:37 – September 1st, 13:37: All players aged 18 or younger can play freely, as much as they want, in a ladder on Esportal to stand out and climb the rankings. If you turn 18 in 2024, you can participate, but if you turn 19 during the year, you cannot.
Top 8 players after the month’s selection process will proceed to the next stage.
Twist, Hawk, and the main team players will also select an additional 12 standout players.
- September 8th – 23rd: The 20 selected players will train, play against each other in a training schedule led by Hawk, and train against other academy teams and with the main team.
- September 28th: 8 of the 20 players will be chosen to play exhibition matches in mixed teams with Hawk and Twist, streamed live on Twitch with Tutsi in front of the camera.
- October 10th: We will announce which 5 of the 8 players will be signed and become the new Tele2 Alliance Academy team.
If you believe you have what it takes, now is the time to register! Selection is not solely based on rank; we will also look for other excellent qualities, such as good leadership, exceptional communication, and players who lift their team in more ways than just frags.
Without Tele2, this would not have been possible. We are incredibly proud of the collaboration and can hardly wait to see which team becomes the new Tele2 Alliance Academy.
In addition to the team receiving travel, accommodation, and coaching during the events and training sessions they attend, each player will also get Tele2’s fastest broadband free of charge for one year.
