Alliance will adjust their VALORANT team
Esports organization Alliance has parted ways with VALORANT general manager James “BanKs” Banks, who has been a big part of building the team since December 2020. The organization also announced the benching of Danish player Sigurd “ZIK” Jensen.
The British commentator, stage host and manager “BanKs” joined Alliance as the VALORANT general manager in 2020. Alliance have now announced that they will part ways with Banks, meanwhile expressing their gratitude towards the previous team manager on Twitter:
“After helping build our VALORANT division from scratch we are today wishing @BanKsEsports all the best as he leaves to pursue new opportunities.”
The departure of Banks is not the only adjustment that has been made in the VALORANT squad. Decisions have been made to bench the Danish player Sigurd “ZIK” Jensen, who joined Alliance in October 2021 and has been a vital part of the squad dynamic. With zik being on the bench, he will be able to pursue other opportunities as well. As Alliance always strives to be the best, and wants to continue the growth of the team.
Chief strategy officer Kelly Ong had the following to say regarding the changes:
“Thank you James for being a vital part in our VALORANT journey, we are sad to part ways but happy for your new adventures. We couldn’t have been the team we are today without you heading this important division for Alliance.
I would also like to thank Zik for his commitment and hard work in being a critical part of our growth in the past 6 months as he moves to the bench for the time being, your energy, your sick plays will be remembered always.
VALORANT is an important division to Alliance as it is our first 5-person FPS roster. We will continue working hard to build our division as we look to be a part of this esports title for the long term.”
