Welcome Hakis to Alliance APEX

It’s onwards and upwards for Alliance’s Apex Legends team, when our new in-game leader now officially joins.

Gothenburg, Sweden – January 15th 2020 – Last week, Alliance announced the departure of Philip “Lowley” Olsen. But our Apex team does not have to wait long for a new sign, as our long-time stand-in John “hakis” Håkansson now officially joins Alliance as the in-game leader.

“I’m very excited to be joining Alliance, I’ve always wanted to be a part of a big organisation. And for my first one to be Swedish and so close to where I live, is a big dream come true for me,” hakis says.

The 24-year old Swede has been a stand-in for Alliance’s Apex team for quite a while now, and has now officially joined the organization for the upcoming trials of 2020. Even with Apex Legends’ young professional scene, hakis has shown that he is one of the very best players in Europe, if not the world.

“I’m very happy we are bringing on John to our roster. His ability to lead his team to victory is very remarkable and after a strong showing in the past weeks of scrims and online tournaments I’m confident to say that we are here to stay as one of Europe’s top teams” team manager Pontus Bengtsson adds. “I’m looking forward to bringing him and the squad down for bootcamp next week to get us prepared for the upcoming qualifier.”

Hakis joins Simon “Vaifs” Bellini to prepare for the upcoming qualifier for Apex Legends Global Series, the official tournament for 2020-2021. Filling in for the recently departed Lowley, fellow Swede Adam “nitrahh” Blombacke will act as a stand-in for the upcoming major qualifiers.
