Alliance are happy to announce that Oscar “Yuki” Jiang is joining as the new Flex for the ALGS Season 2 Pro League roster! The 25-year old Brittish/Chinese joins from a successful season 1, finishing on a 5th place placement in the ALGS EMEA Championship. Yuki is known for his vivid playstyle and insane aim so we couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds.

After it was announced that Kha “iPN” Nguyen was getting benched last week, Alliance started the search for a new third. The roster has risen and fallen throughout 18 months of Online Competition while Alliance have continued its legacy as one of the strongest teams in the EMEA Region. However, after a few results that wasn’t up to Alliance’s standard, change is inevitable and therefore we are here today.

“I’ve always looked up to Alliance. Joining them has always been a goal of mine and I wouldn’t be surprised if I woke up tomorrow for it to only be a dream,” says Oscar “Yuki” Jiang. “Fighting alongside one of the best duos in the game is something I don’t take for granted. I’m extremely thankful for Alliance welcoming me into this experience, and my eagerness to begin playing with them can’t be held back any longer. The only journey is the one within, where Hakis, Vaifs and me are going right to the core. Look out. ”

Yuki will dive straight into practice with his teammates Simon “Vaifs” Bellini  and Captain John “Hakis” Håkansson to prepare for the Pro League in October.
Parting with a long-time friend and partner can be difficult, but the boys are determined to work hard together with Yuki to once again put Alliance at the top.

Said Pontus Bengtsson, Apex Legends Team Manager:
“Changes are always hard, we had a good run with iPN and he will always be my brother. However I am extremely thrilled to get Yuki to Alliance,I think we have a title contending squad on our hands for the new Season and I can’t wait to give our fans a lot of success this season! Long Live Alliance <3” – Pontus

Even though the team have not yet had much practice together, they are determined to work their hardest to be in top shape for the start of Pro League. The goal is to get back to being at the absolute top once more, and see how far they can push themselves competitively.
